Sepulveda Basin pics 1

Walked 3.5 hours lol. But totally worth it!   Even saw a Northern Cardinal!! With the help of the scope of course. ,That's why you go to field trips, if you don't haven one haha.

Also Northern Flicker, Cal. Thrasher, Hutton's Vireo, Towhees, Black-Crowned Night-Heron, Egyptian Goose, Say's Phoebe, Great-tailed Grackle,  Killdeer, Northen Pintail, Bewick's Wren, Cassin's Kingbird, Western Bluebird, American Kestrel, Red Tailed Hawk(which is the most common Raptor around)... Red-winged Blackbird is pretty common on marshes, so the initial excitement has abated now lol.
