Scoping at Peck Pit; a disappointment

Saw a couple of Cooper's Hawks, Black Crowned Night Heron, the usual birds including Caspian Terns..again failed to spot Blue Grosbeak or YBC. Maybe I need to go all the away around to the NE part? You can't really approach from the SE part to that portion..too far.  Oh found a coyote or something, it bursted upon the Northern shore lol, and lounged there a bit.

There was a small path going through the small patch on the middle portion where I spotted a male Orange Bishop(now it's not there, altough birders at ebird records 10!!! of those. Did they move to the NE part?); nice shaded path especially in the morning, 'behind' the willows?.  Should check it out earlier next time, today started birding to late, at 8am.

Anyway, the scope's performance was...too weak, really. Not that much of an improvement over my 8 power bino. Really should've bought 20 power base Celsterton Ultima. Sure Landscout is pretty adequate in most cases; since it's so light, ideal for forest birding and such.  But shorebird viewing? And especially seabirds watching? Eh...have no high hope for it when I'll be visiting Pt. Vicente...would I be able to spot Black Shearwaters? Doubt it..

Anyway, I'm not sure I'll visit Dairy Mart this Saturday at Tijuana. E bird reports are not very impressive; really, if not for
