LRGV Day 2 pics

Started well I guess, from Banworth at dawn;

 Had real trouble finding Black-bellied Whistling-Duck at Anahuac NWR 2 years ago, but here, so easy lol.

Then began to unravel from Mission

 Because no Audubon's Oriole. Fucked.

Anzalduas was also a disaster, likewise took ages to find, thanks to utter lack of signposts;

Took this while lost, trying to find the Park

 Nice view

 Least Grebe, at least afforded a terrific view of this lifer

 Didn't know where to find Sprague's Pipit, I guess I tried the wrong part, they say it's on the field just next to the entrance gate? Anyway those Meadowlarks were wary so couldn't really approach

Had to bird Quinta Mazatlan so left soon in disgust.
QM was far better, also good Gift Shop, too bad didn't buy any lol, assumed other places were better, like Estero Llano Grande, Santa Ana and Laguna Atascosa; nope!

No Anhinga, but plenty of shade, really nice.

 Last stop Donna Reservoir, made it in time before sunset. All Lesser Scaups
