Peck Pit

Since it was overcast, thought there might be some interesting species at Peck; so headed there in the morning.

But the shorebirds were generally too far from the Southern shore, can't really say which ducks were there..except for a white Goose, and Coots(as usual). There was a Black Heron lookalike, should check the photos later(edit: not sure if it's that, juvenile or a Green Heron or even a Bittern lol) . Didn't go further along the shore, since the lake seemed generally quite empty, bar some ducks on the Northern shore.  Oh later some Black-Necked Stilts flew over, not many.

Since it was overcast, it wasn't really easy for taking photos either. Some Finches, to be sure, but again, should check the photo(haven't uploaded it to my laptop yet).  Lots of songs but couldn't really spot many, and most of those quickly flew away lol. No. Mockingbirds as usual, methink.

Did find a Kildeer, at the usual slope to the shore. And, who knew the water sprinklers would be such a boon lol. At the shaded area dotted with stone benches, the sprinklers were furiously working, and Cedar Waxwings were hopping in and out lol. Like 4-6?  Later on even took a photo of..Yellow or Wilson's Warbler as well(edit: both).
