But maybe I should've gone to MCP, because they met at 8:30, when I thought the meeting time was 8. Furthermore, the leader didn't appear so sub? leader led us from almost 9am lol(wasted an hour!).

Birding wasn't very good, despite seeing American Goldfinches in ages(last seen by me at Switzer). So decided to stay and bird alone;

At the sunflower patch, southernmost of the site(right next to the fence surronding the pit), there was a small tree/brush. On the canopy, found a bird perching upright.

First thought it was a flycatcher, but after taking a pic and watching more intently(somewhat far, so even with bino or camera, not too easy to see; again, waiting for the scope to arrive).

The bird was blue!!! So bragged to another birder that it was a Blue Grosbeak, but I think it may be Lazuli Bunting, due to the white wingpatch; but have to upload to pic to my laptop to confirm.

But eh, I see that Summer Tanager was spotted at MCP according to ebird lol, also Western Tanager.
