And, for topographical reason as well. Since I'm visiting Sylmar, and Hansen Dam & Descanso in the 17th, wanted to 'explore' those area first. Griffith Park IS near those places, so..
Great! Parked at the Zoo, and already found some birds lol. Asked th cyclers and they told me to go straight on Zoo Dr. toward Los Feliz, but just stopped at the Merry go Round area and walked the trail around it.
And a shade in the tree right beside the merry go round was fantastic; Acorn Woodpecker was seen on the trail, and here too, even recorded it in action! Other birds too, and when I activated my hearing aid, could tell at least 3 different kinds of bird songs! Terrific spot.
